After all that time being together, going through an emotional roller coaster between heaven and hell, he simply said ‘let’s just be friends, this is not working’. It’s amazing how all those intimate moments, the whispers of sweet-nothings and the love that the two shared came down to nothing. It’s impossible to fathom how two people who had been through so much together could just let go because of something as insignificant as a disagreement. Is it true then, do we really grow unattached to people as time goes on?

"Like every single aspect in life, relationships must also come to an end. I knew it right from the start, the very first time, the very beginning - this feeling was inevitable. I don’t want to say that my heart is broken, that would be a lie. If your heart was really broken, you’d be dead. But I can’t emphasize enough how much it hurts. There’s this thudding pain in my chest that pierces and pokes at what very sanity I have left. The constant pounding that seems as though it will never end, the countless tears that just won’t stop falling. They say that the past is what makes the future, and from this I will arise. I will not spend every single second of every single hour of every single day crying over you, because these tears are much too precious. The memories we shared could never be replaced, and I guarantee that everyday I will still be reminded of you. But I will not break down, and I will not let you get the best of me. I’m stronger than you think. Life’s too short to hold on to what was, so I’m gonna keep my head up high and look forward to what will be. No man, no cry. From now on, I’m doing things for me, myself and I."
